Our game designer had asked me if I could create a 3D logo for our game which would appear in the menus and would rotate as the player navigated through the menus. I was lucky that when I when I was told to create the 3D logo, it had already been created in a 2D format, giving me a lot to go on. I really like that style that he had created and really wanted to incorporate this into the 3D version. It is a perfect representation of the 80's style.

| The original Logo created by George. |
The original logo had been created by our game designer, it is styled like that of Miami Vice or Kung Fury. George only asked me to do the number "80" as he wanted the "shooter" part of the title to be separate and shout out at the player, he also wanted it to be 2D rather than 3D.

| The 3D Logo. |
I managed to find the font that he had used called "PrisonerFSBold", it was simple to move on from here, the next step that I had to do was to go into the program films and add the font into Maya. The next stage required me to reset Maya to default settings, where the font would now appear. I typed out the number. The next stage was to make it smooth. Using what I had learnt earlier on the Desert Eagle, I added support edges and smoothed the mode, to get a nice, crisp model. As this was an extention of the game, it did not matter how high poly the number was, as it would be static.
After I had given him the model, he tried to use it within Unity, unfortunately, he felt that it didn't work too well within our game, which lead to the 3D logo being taken out and not used.
There is a chance that if we do decide to develop this game further, we could look back into the idea of using a 3D logo and if that is the case, I have ready made one available for us to use.
Using the program called Keyshot I managed to get a really nice render of the "80" that George wanted me to create.
